Loop Crypto is Joining Lead
We are excited to announce that the Loop Crypto team is joining Lead Bank. As we begin this next chapter, we're thrilled to join forces with Lead to scale our work in stablecoin and crypto payments, unlocking far greater impact and reach for technology that can make our financial system faster, more efficient, and more secure.
Four years ago, my co-founder Shane van Coller and I started Loop Crypto to build new financial infrastructure powered by blockchains. Stablecoins and crypto payments were still in their infancy, but it was clear that this new technology would have profound implications for how money moved around the world.
With the explosion in stablecoin adoption over the last year, this vision of new financial infrastructure is accelerating faster than ever. Stablecoins are no longer fringe. They are a fast-growing, global financial force. Over $300 billion in stablecoins are in circulation today, across more than 40 million active wallets.
We are still at the very beginning of this shift as stablecoin infrastructure begins to power more and more of global commerce. As we’ve gotten to know Jacqueline Reses and the team at Lead, it became clear that we shared a similar vision. Like Loop, Lead is focused on a first-principles approach to reprogramming the financial system. We could not be more excited to build alongside this first-class team.
To our clients, all those who used Loop to make payments, our investors, and friends, we are beyond thankful for your support and the trust you have placed in us over the last four years. It has been a privilege to help enable payments and fuel commerce around the globe.
I want to say a special thank you to my co-founder, Shane, and our entire team. They have worked tirelessly over the last several years, and our success at Loop has been a testament to that hard work.
We can’t wait to share more updates as we continue on this journey of unlocking the potential of stablecoins!
